Bay State Council of Divers
Bay State Council of Divers
On Sunday, September 17. 2017, the Bay State Council of Divers had their 32nd annual treasure hunt at Stage Fort Park, Gloucester, MA. The temperature was mild and the fog was very thick at the start of the scuba dive but by the time the team snorkel event was held it cleared up.
Scuba Event
We had 45 divers enter the water for the scuba competition. It was also gratifying to have several newly certified divers join us for the competition and we hope they will come back next year. Our first prize winner was Jake Stout, who has been recently certified to dive and attended the event with his parents. Second prize went to Jack Valleli and third to Jack Mumo. Congratulations to all three of our scuba treasure hunt winners.
Grand Prize Winners
1st Price: Erica McGuire 2nd Prize: Matthew Meyer 3rd Prize: Matthew Ramos
Snorkel Event
There were five teams who competed in the snorkel event this year. The top winner this year was the South Shore Neptunes snorkel team. Congratulations.
The other participating teams were:

•Kt (Eric Fula, Kayo Suzuki, Lisa Hollis) - 217
•North Shore Frogman (Jack Munro) – 75

The treasure hunt would not be complete without awarding of prizes. Once again with a big thank you to all our generous sponsors none of our treasure hunt participants went home empty handed. We would like to extend a warm thank you to all our prize donors.
